As the Data Governance & Analytics Manager at APCO, my team led the development of Australia’s official industry report on packaging consumption and recovery—an initiative that delivers the national packaging figures feeding directly into the Federal Government’s National Waste Report. This project required the coordination of cross-functional teams, data suppliers, and external stakeholders across industry and government. I oversaw the alignment of disparate data sources, resolved complex classification challenges, and implemented governance structures to ensure data integrity, traceability, and public transparency. The result is one of Australia’s most critical data assets for tracking progress toward packaging circularity and national sustainability targets.
